  • Reply threading — Replies now include parent_message_id and references_chain so they appear in the thread view
  • Reply-to address — Replying to a sent email now correctly targets the recipient instead of your own inbox
  • Integer type error — Fixed in_reply_to column type mismatch when sending replies
  • Auth credentials — Added missing credentials: 'include' to thread and auto-reply fetch calls for production

Breaking changes

  • Authentication migrated from JWT to Better Auth — Cookie-based sessions replace bearer tokens. All API requests now require session cookies instead of Authorization headers.
  • Database schema changes — New schema-better-auth.sql and schema-threading.sql files added. Run node run-schema.js to apply.
  • Node.js 22+ required — Minimum runtime version increased from 20 to 22.
